Besides the changes made during the first year of Desperate Housewives, the main difference between this map and the current look of the street is that the houses known in Desperate Housewives as 4352 Wisteria Lane and 4354 Wisteria Lane (Mary Alice’s and Bree’s houses) replaced two older buildings in 1996.

(” Pilot “) Mike had been previously married, and started renting the Simms’ house on 4356 Wisteria Lane, one year after his wife’s death, and shortly prior to Mary Alice’s suicide in 2004.
Katherine Mayfair (formerly known as Katherine Davis) is one of the supporting protagonists of Desperate Housewives, and thus her family is central to the series and its stories. They previously resided at 4356 Wisteria Lane .
Who is Katherine in Wisteria Lane?
Katherine is a former resident of Wis teria Lane and was good friends with Susan Mayer and Mary Alice Young. She left the lane before Bree Hodge, Lynette Scavo, Gabrielle Lang, or Edie Britt moved to the street. Susan is glad that Katherine is back but Katherine clashes with Bree.
Katherine and Dylan get into a fight when Dylan brings up her father. Bree witnesses Katherine slap Dylan across the face. (” Smiles of a Summer Night “) Katherine thinks Gabrielle is trying to make a pass at her husband. (” The Game “) Katherine gets upset when a young blonde starts to flirt with Adam.
Katherine confronts Sylvia and Sylvia reveals to Katherine that she and Adam talked the day before. Katherine is furious that Adam didn’t tell her this. Katherine spits right in Sylvia’s face. Sylvia drives to the end of the lane and Bree Hodge asks Katherine what that was all about.
Katherine decides to start a catering company and gets Bree to join. One day while Dylan is driving, she is pulled over by a cop who reveals to be her father. (” Hello, Little Girl “) Dylan tells Katherine she has started seeing someone while in reality she has been visiting her father.
After the party, Katherine and Adam are at their house and Katherine shows Adam a huge scratch mark on the floor which leads to more suspecion about Katherine. (” The Game “) The women of Wisteria Lane gather to discuss a certain lawn ornament that belongs to Bob and Lee.
Katherine adopts the girl and changes her name to Dylan in an attempt to cover up the accidental death of her daughter. (” Free “) Katherine and the new-Dylan relocate to Chicago. There, Katherine meets a successful doctor named Adam Mayfair and a relationship blossoms. The two get married.
Katherine acts cold to everyone and tells them to leave. After everyone leaves, Katherine goes into the woods behind her house and looks a cross made of stones. She then starts crying.

What happens to Katherine and Dylan after leaving Wisteria Lane?
Twelve years after leaving Wisteria Lane, Katherine, Adam and Dylan move into Lillian’s house. Susan introduces Katherine to Bree, Lynette and Gabrielle, her friends and neighbours; Katherine immediately clashes with each of them, particularly Bree. Meanwhile, Dylan doesn’t remember living on Wisteria Lane. Katherine begins integrating herself into Susan’s circle of friends but continues to conflict with Bree, Gabrielle and Lynette. Katherine’s mysterious and cold exterior and Dylan’s lack of memories about life on Wisteria Lane raise the suspicions of their neighbours. Dylan questions Katherine about her birth father but Katherine only says that he is too dangerous to let back into their lives.
Season 5. During the five years between seasons four and five, Katherine remains on Wisteria Lane. Katherine briefly moves in with Bree, a recovering alcoholic who relapses when her husband, Orson Hodge ( Kyle MacLachlan ), leaves for jail. Katherine’s rivalry with Bree continues despite their shared business.
When Katherine was introduced to the series, many critics noted that she was very similar to Bree Hodge ( Marcia Cross ), in that both prided themselves on their domestic skills. Cherry noted that Katherine “was clearly different” before her arrival in the fourth season, which Susan confirms when she claims Katherine is “not as fun as she used to be.” Her cold exterior is noted by many characters, including Gabrielle Solis ( Eva Longoria Parker ), who remarks that Katherine is “smug and ‘holier than thou'” and is “getting a reputation around [the neighbourhood] for having a stick up [her] ass!” Though Katherine immediately conflicts with the other women on the street, most notably Bree, she eventually develops close friendships with her neighbours. Nevertheless, her rivalry with Bree continues but as a natural part of their sisterly relationship. In the sixth season, however, Katherine ” [morphs] into the person the housewives have to hate” in the absence of Edie Britt ( Nicollette Sheridan ).
Katherine has had two children; Dylan Davis (Hailee Denham), her daughter who died as a young child, and Dylan Mayfair ( Lyndsy Fonseca ), her adoptive daughter. The character was later paired with Mike Delfino ( James Denton) in the fifth season, which later ended when he returned to and remarried Susan Mayer ( Teri Hatcher ), …
Katherine returns to the series in the final episode “ Finishing the Hat “. Katherine has made a huge wad of cash as the owner of a frozen food company in France. She returns to Wisteria Lane to offer Lynette Scavo a job as the head of her United States expansion.
Though Katherine has an alibi, Susan and Mike’s fears about Katherine are soon realized. When Mike hears Katherine told M.J. that Susan is a bad mother, he coldly tells her that he never loved her. When he leaves, Katherine stabs herself in the stomach with a knife that has Mike’s fingerprints on it.
Later, in the fifth season, Katherine contemplates leaving Fairview because she is single, later revisiting the option in an attempt to force Mike to realize he loves her.
