Block attended Mississippi State University and also the University of Missouri; St. Louis playing golf in both colleges.
For the love of the game, Block later bagged a degree in golf course management from the San Diego Golf Academy.
From 1998 until 2004, he was the assistant club professional at The Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert, California.
A few months later, Block became head club professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California.
As a professional golfer, Block has appeared in 24 PGA Tour events over his career and has made the cut in just four of those events.
