WITH the withdrawals of Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray from Wimbledon, British tennis has had a dreadful week.
Katie Boulter, 25, is still on the hunt – and she’s in action TODAY.
In the second round, Boulter will face last year’s SW19 finalist and World No. 6 Karolina Pliskova.
She easily defeated Frenchwoman Clara Burel in her opening match of the tournament, but she has considerably tougher competition next.
But what else do we know about Britain’s aspiring female tennis player?
Boulter, who was born in August 1996, began playing tennis at the age of five and was representing Great Britain three years later.
By the age of 11, Boulter had won competitions all over the world, including the Lemon Bowl in Rome and the Junior Orange Bowl in Florida.
Since becoming professional in 2014, the British star has emerged as one of the country’s most promising talents, winning six singles and four doubles championships on the ITF Women’s Circuit.
Boulter sprang to prominence in 2018 with a Wimbledon victory over Veronica Cepede Royg, and she also advanced to the second round last year.
She’s already in strong form this year, having won an ITF championship in France at the start of the year.
Boulter is presently ranked No.127 in the world, and she showed her passion of fashion when she featured in Vogue in 2018.

Boulter is 5’11” (1.80m) tall.
The WILLOWY and agile athlete, does not appear to be designed for power on the court.
She does, however, have a powerful forehand and is taught by Jeremy Bates, Nigel Sears, and Mark Taylor.

Who is Boulter dating?
In 2021, the 24-year-old will be partnered with fellow tennis star Alex de Minaur.

Rumors about the couple’s relationship had been circulating for months, and De Minaur eventually confirmed it in March of last year.
De Minaur is rated No. 27 in the world and will face British opponent Jack Draper in his upcoming match.

Boulter was previously linked to American Jack Sock, who is also on the tour.
De Minaur is rumored to be dating Russian Anastasia Potapova.
