Prior to moving to the University of Oklahoma, Stevenson played two seasons of college football at Cerritos College. He participated in the first 13 games of his debut season at Oklahoma in 2019 before being barred from the 2019 Peach Bowl due to a failed marijuana drug test. He had six touchdowns and 515 yards on 64 carries by the time the season was through. Six games into the 2020 season, Stevenson was reinstated after serving the ban.
