Ursula Pari is an experienced, award-winning reporter based in San Antonio, Texas. She anchors the local news at KSAT 12 and The Nightbeat at 10 PM.

Early Days & Education :

Ursula is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana.


She posed a lot of questions while she was a kid, and made several discoveries. This was the spark that began her long broadcasting career.
She visited the State University of Louisiana for her studies and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Pari was exposed to the field of broadcasting while at university. She was covering the news for her college radio station.

Ursula had a broadcasting position at KLFY TV10 in Lafayette, Louisiana, right out of college. She focused on numerous issues there, such as the Louisiana Legislature, storms, and the business of nutria pelt.

She started working for KSAT 12 in 1996 and, more than two decades later, continues to work there.

Polo Accident :

Ursula is serious about the sport of polo, and since 1989 she has been practicing it. However, when playing it, she recently had a severe accident.
She slipped off her horse, Nugget, after a polo match in the summer of 2019. She was faced with many fractures, including fractured ribs, a broken lung, a broken collarbone, and a broken thumb.


She was taken to the Trauma Unit of the Brooks Army Medical Center and had a chest tube implanted to enable her to breathe.
The doctors opened her chest and set up a whole row of ribs that had suffered from compound fractures and inserted metal plates to help repair them.
Ursula remained in the hospital for ten days and then spent another two months resting at home.
She has since returned to KSAT in order to deliver the coverage. However, because she is already tired, she said that it takes longer for her to get ready and apply make-up.
This event has brought her a new passion for exercise and wellness.
