Unsolved Cases Save Our Streets
A man was shot and killed in Port Richmond in March 2021, leaving his family heartbroken and still searching for answers.
PORT RICHMOND – Charles “Chuckie” Maude’s relatives carry a piece of him with them wherever they go. Memories fill their home in the form of pictures, letters to heaven, and the work of small hands.
Their backyard. Their automobiles.
“He’ll never be forgotten,” Chuckie’s stepmother, Dean Maude, said.
His father, mother, and stepmother are all on a mission.
“He adored his daughters above all else in the world. He adored everyone “Charles Maude spoke about his son. “He never had a disagreement with anyone. He had the warmest heart on the planet. So, I’m not sure who would take his life for no reason.”

Chuckie dropped Isabelle off at his mother’s house in Port Richmond on Friday, March 12th, 2021.

Just after 10:45 p.m., Philadelphia Police say they discovered Chuckie shot inside his black 2002 Mercedes-Benz in the 3200 block of Emerald Street. He died after being rushed to Temple University Hospital by police.

The men were last seen driving south on Kensington from Allegheny in a white four-door sedan with a vanity plate with red markings on the front.
Chuckie had grown up in his mother’s Port Richmond home and was well known in the community.

Chuckie’s family claims to have combed through social media, spoken with eyewitnesses, questioned everyone they knew, and turned everything over to police. They increased the reward to $30,000. They held their second annual memorial to raise funds for the futures of his daughters.

According to Chuckie’s family, he may have witnessed an altercation between a man and a woman earlier in the night and verbally intervened.
