According to police, a woman was killed in Humboldt after being hit by a car.
LiJoyce Bridges, 29, passed away on Thursday afternoon, according to a news release from the Humboldt Police Department.
In accordance with the press release, cops were called to the Highway 45 Bypass, between Avondale and East End Drive, at around 9:58 p.m. on Monday, April 10.
Officers arrived and found Bridges lying in the road on the overhead bridge that spans Dotson Avenue and the railroad tracks.
According to the press announcement, Bridges was declared deceased at the scene by the deputy coroner.

Bridges was standing in the road when she was hit by one car, followed by another, according to an investigation, according to Humboldt Police.
