Hedvig Charlotta Nordenflycht was a Swedish poet, salon hostess, and feminist. Such was her popularity that she was the only female member of a popular literary fellowship called Tankebyggarorden, which was active in the 1750s and early 1760s. Hedvig Charlotta Nordenflycht was also popular in Germany and one of her poems was appreciated by Empress Elizabeth of Russia.
