Rev Waddy Talley Obituary and Funeral Arrangements

On Tuesday, November 6, 2007, Waddy Talley passed away at the ReTreat Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Age-wise, he was 73. He was born in Louisa County, Virginia, on October 17, 1917.

His parents were Daisy Mae Waddy Talley and the late Henry Clay Talley. He attended the Eagle Baptist Church and went to schools in Louisa County for his schooling. During World War II, he enlisted in the American Army, served his country, and was honorably discharged in 1945.

He also received the European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal for his service.

On November 12, 2007, the family will receive loved ones and guests at the Eagle Baptist Church (located at 4683 Mt. Airy Road in Louisa) starting at 12:30 p.m. until the start of the funeral ceremony at 1 p.m.

The military burial will be conducted in the Talley Family Cemetery on Locust Creek Road in Louisa, under the direction of the Reverend Dr. Charles H. Sims, Sr.
