Polly Fuller Died From Cancer, Washington IL, Former WCHS Spanish Teacher

Polly Fuller, a Spanish teacher at Washington Community High School, has sadly gone away.

She lost her brave struggle with cancer on Monday, January 23, 2023, with family by her side.

Her spouse announced yesterday that she had passed away on social media.

Thomas Fuller her husband shared on his timeline:

Good morning, everyone. I thought I’d let y’all know that Polly passed away last night. She was with family and passed peacefully as we hoped she would.

The kids and I are doing OK. We’re probably going to be doing better than many of y’all because we’ve had so much time to accept and plan for this and we’ve lived with it so long. It doesn’t mean it will be easy, only easier.

I know y’all will ask if there’s anything we need, but at this time we’re in good shape. We are planning a celebration of life on Friday, February 3rd from 5-8 pm here in Washington and I’ll provide details shortly.

When I asked Grady and Annie what they wanted to do for their mom after she passed, the one request is that they wanted to be surrounded by people who loved and were impacted by their mom. I told them that should be fairly easy to do because as we all know, everyone loves Polly!

Thanks to everyone for past and future support. Y’all are awesome.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the deceased’s family and friends, who have been struggling with the loss of such an intelligent and compassionate individual.
