Amos Oladayo Olatayo, who was born in Lagos on September 26, 1991, is a former basketball player from Nigeria.
He holds an American passport and spent one season in the third division of the Spanish league Viten Getafe, the LEB Plata. Olatayo was born in Lagos on September 26, 1991. He did it despite his height of 1.93 meters, which was required for the position of shooting guard.
He received his education at Houston, Texas’s Alief Elsik High School. Tim Martin was his coach, and as a junior and senior, he received district recognition. On two separate occasions, he was recognized as one of the best players from Houston’s roster in the All-Star Game.
As a junior and then as a senior, he was instrumental in the Rams’ run to consecutive regional championships. As a junior, he averaged 18 points per game, while as a senior he averaged 22 points per game and 8 rebounds per contest.
In his best game with the Rams, he scored 40 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. In addition to being recognized by TexasRoundball.com as the seventh best player in the state, he was a finalist for the McDonald’s All-American team.
In 2010, he graduated from high school and enrolled at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. During the 2010–2011 academic year, he played for the Lumberjacks before transferring to Navarro College in Waxahachie, Texas. Navarro College is a founding member of the JUCO.
Throughout the 2011-2012 season, he played. In the past two years, he played for the University of Louisiana at Monroe, which is located in Monroe, Louisiana (2012-2014).
