At the Four Seasons Resort on Grand Lake, northeast of Grove, Oklahoma, she shared a lakefront property with her husband, James Lee Sweeten, a former superintendent of schools in Kansas.
A search order issued in 2011 revealed that none of Peggy’s personal possessions, including her car, clothes, pictures, or memories, were gone.
Mark Wall, a cold case detective, stated, “We were reviewing the old police reports and investigative reports once more and a statement by Patrick Sweeten, Peggy’s son, caught my eye.”
