On a bright morning on October 21, 1977, in the village of Brattleboro, Vermont, Lisa Elizabeth Vine of 123 Meyers Drive, Horseheads, was born.
Complications from Cholesterol Ester Storage problem in Corning Hospital caused her death on January 14, 2023. She was 45.
Parents Thomas and Terry Vine, brother Matthew, sister-in-law Doni, nephews Christopher and Connor Vine, and spouse Arica Gessi are Lisa’s surviving family members. Her two pets, Scout and Marley, are both still alive.
Around 450 current and former students of Lisa, who taught fourth grade at Hanlon Elementary in Odessa for the past 21 years, also survive her. She was fond of each one.
Shaker High School in Latham, New York, SUNY Cortland, and Elmira College are among Lisa’s alma mater institutions. She cherished teaching, all forms of athletic competition, and the Minnesota Vikings in particular. Lisa also took great pride in being a “Army Brat.”
