At the age of 31, Lilly Kimbell, an assistant coach for the University of Georgia’s tennis teams for both men and women, passed away.
She has played tennis for the institution in the past.
On February 5, 2023, she died away in the company of her loving family, who will all cherish their memories of her for the rest of their lives. Her family claims that she had a number of health issues that started with a renal issue and culminated in a major heart attack as a direct result of those issues.
Kimbell graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 2014 and worked as a graduate assistant in the athletic department before starting his master’s degree program in 2016.
She has worked as a tennis instructor at several country clubs in Georgia, including Jennings Mills and Apawamis.

She has additionally worked for Tennis Europe (New York).
According to a statement issued by Eastern Illinois Athletics, Lilly Kimbell will join the tennis staff at Eastern Illinois University as an assistant coach starting in the 2019 season for both the men’s and women’s teams.
