On Saturday morning, popular Lebanese singer George Al Rassi was killed in a car accident on Al Masna Road, close to the border with Syria.
A number of Lebanese news outlets have reported that Al Rassi was driving home from a concert in Syria when he apparently lost control of his vehicle.
In the same tragedy, his friend Zeina El Maraabi also lost her life.

On her end, the singer’s ex-wife Joelle Hatem lamented his death on social media with the words “I am shivering, I can’t speak, Jesus, Help!”
