Lauren Alaina was born on November 8, 1994 in Rossville, Georgia, U.S. She came to prominence after placing runner-up on the tenth season of the reality television show American Idol.
After the competition, she signed with 19 Entertainment, Interscope and Mercury Nashville and released the single “Like My Mother Does”. She also appeared in such shows as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Live with Regis and Kelly.
She then released her debut album Wildflower on October 11, 2011. It peaked at Number 5 on the US Billboard 200 and went on to sell 69,000 copies in its first week.
