Tragic Passing of Beloved Reggae Singer Kokoi Baldo in Road Accident
In the early morning hours of December 8, 2023, Bacolod mourned the untimely death of the beloved reggae singer, Kokoi Baldo, following a tragic road accident. The 44-year-old singer, Juan Manuel Ubaldo, known as Kokoi Baldo, lost his life in a collision with a truck along Circumferential Road in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 1:30 AM when Kokoi attempted to overtake a pickup truck on Circumferential Road. A truck carrying sugarcane closely followed the pickup, and in the attempt to pass, Kokoi lost control of his motorcycle, leading to a fatal accident. His head and brain sustained severe injuries as he slid beneath the wheels of the truck.
The truck driver promptly reported the incident to Bacolod City Police Station 3, and authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident and any legal responsibilities.
