Tragedy Strikes in DeKalb County, Georgia: The Loss of Justin Lewis, His Wife, and Child

This tragic event unfolded on October 17, 2023, in their residence in DeKalb County, Georgia.

Around three o’clock in the afternoon, the DeKalb County Police Department received a distressing call for a welfare check at a residence in the 3100 block of Briarcliff Road, following reports of a gunshot. Tragically, when law enforcement officials arrived, they discovered three deceased individuals within the home. Authorities are currently investigating this heartbreaking incident as a murder-suicide.

The young child involved in this tragic incident was a student at Sagamore Hills Elementary School. In the aftermath of this terrible loss, Karen Williams, the principal of Sagamore Hills Elementary School, reached out to parents, informing them that counselors would be available on campus to provide support following this devastating event.
