Jonathan Allen is a defensive tackle for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He participated in college football with Alabama, where he won many defensive player of the year awards and the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship. Allen was chosen by Washington in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The Washington Redskins selected Allen with the 17th pick overall in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Jonathan’s parents, Richard Allen and Traci Allen, welcomed him into the world on January 16, 1995 in Anniston, Alabama, in the United States. Jonathan had an extremely difficult upbringing because he spent a lot of time in foster care and hotels. Since the third grade, he hadn’t seen his mother. Jonathan’s father, who was in the military, was granted legal custody of him and permitted him to participate in football. He was inspired to play by his stepmother.
