She also rose to fame for playing Diane Freeling in Poltergeist and its sequel. Acclaimed for her acting, she received Emmy nominations for her roles in the TV film Adam and the miniseries Baby M. Her guest performance in the sitcom Frasier also earned her another Emmy nomination. She went on to star in the TV series The Client in 1995.
