Jeff Thomas Died By Suicide, Los Angeles actor and talented Wilhelmina Model

Jeffrey Glenn Thomas, a Maysville native and Louisville resident, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 11, at Baptist East Hospital. He was 61.

Jeff was born Sept. 6, 1960, to the late Adrian and Martha Gifford Thomas. He was a graduate of Maysville High School and received top honors as a chef while attending Sullivan College Culinary Arts Program. He was the national sales specialist/corporate chef for R. L. Schreiber, Inc.

In addition to his two sons, Evan Thomas of Louisville and David Thomas of California and his wife, Laura Razem Thomas, also of California, Jeff is survived by his sister, Sandy Cummins of Lexington, and his brother, Mike Thomas of Maysville. He also leaves his nephews, Drew Case of Lexington and Brett (Tracy) Case of Versailles, and a great-nephew, Brady Case of Versailles. He is also being remembered by a host of cousins and special friends.

Services are under the care of Knox & Brothers Funeral Home with visitation at 11 a.m., Tuesday until service at 1 p.m. With Reverend Daniel Mercer of Southland Christian Church as officiate. Jeff will be placed beside his parents in the Maysville Cemetery.

Following graduation from Sullivan Culinary in 1997, Jeff worked as a chef in the Louisville area for six years before starting employment with R. L. Schreiber Purveyors, Inc. of Indianapolis, Ind. After relocating with his family to Santa Fe, New Mexico, for several years, jeff returned to Louisville and continued working for his company as a route sales specialist before having his current position created because of Jeff’s long-admired work ethic and communication skills. He was primarily based in the San Francisco Bay Area; commuting weekly from Louisville.
