The way that the USPS Schedule a Pickup process works is really pretty simple and straightforward. All you have to do is visit the USPS website, navigate to the PACKAGE PICKUP section of the page, and then go through the on-screen prompts that walk you (step-by-step) through the entire process from start to finish.
