On Friday night, a 26-year-old woman was shot and killed in Northwest Portland’s Wallace Park.The medical examiner’s office determined that Erika Caroline Walker Evans’s death, at age 26, was the result of a gunshot wound. Her murder investigation concluded that she was murdered.The shooting occurred at roughly 11:10 p.m. on Friday in Wallace Park, which is close to Chapman Elementary School on Northwest 25th and Pettygrove Street.Evans had been shot and was found by emergency personnel. After she was pronounced dead, her body was taken to the hospital.
