GoFundMe: Jason Bisson Dies In a Traffic Collision Motorcycle Accident

State police Tuesday afternoon identified a 37-year-old Bridgeport man who was killed Labor Day in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 84 in Farmington.

According to the accident report released by police, Jason Paul Bisson, 37, of Texas Avenue, Bridgeport, was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle on I-84 west at about 6:02 p.m. Monday.

Police said Bisson was pronounce dead at the scene.

Connecticut state police said a 2022 Kia Tel was being driven in the center lane of three lanes of I-84 west, just east of Exit 36.

That’s when a 2014 Suzuki 999 registered out of New York and being operated by Bisson was traveling in the right shoulder of the highway, police said.

According to the report, Bisson then rode into the right-hand lane where, “for an unknown reason,” he lost control and entered the center lane, striking the Kia.

The motorcycle then crossed back over the right lane of travel, entered the right shoulder, then collided with a wire rope guardrail, resulting in Bisson separating from the motorcycle, police said.

Police said the Kia came to a final rest in the right shoulder, with the motorcycle ending up in a grassy area off the right shoulder of I-84 west, prior to Exi 36.

The operator ended up in the right shoulder of the highway, according to police, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kia, police said, only suffered minor damage was was able to be driven from the scene.

The Kia’s driver, a 35-year-old New Jersey man, was not injured, nor were four other passengers in the Kia, police said.
