GoFundMe: Aaron LaMore Died While Helping Daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.

Aaron LaMore, 45, was injured on November 6 when he fell backward out of an open hatchback automobile and banged his head on the pavement.

Ryan Talaga, LaMore’s brother-in-law, told the publication, “They didn’t even gotten to the first house before he lost his footing.”

LaMore reportedly lost his footing at a speed of roughly five miles per hour, with the automobile traveling at that rate.

According to the family’s GoFundMe website, Army veteran LaMore was sent for evaluation to Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois.

Patch claims that LaMore had several skull fractures, edema around his skull, and brain hemorrhaging.

LaMore had served in the American Army before. He is predeceased by his wife Erin and their daughter Mia.
After LaMore went into cardiac arrest at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, he was taken by ambulance to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

As a result of the “severe injuries,” he was placed on life support but passed away on Veterans Day. LaMore is survived by his wife Erin of 16 years and their daughter Mia.

A GoFundMe page has been established to aid in meeting Mia’s educational and healthcare costs.

The page has raised almost $36,000 as of Saturday morning.

To get a CT scan, Aaron was taken to Silver Cross Hospital, but his condition deteriorated so quickly that doctors there decided he needed the more specialized care offered at the University of Chicago Hospital. Aaron had a four-minute cardiac arrest while he waited for help to arrive. Right after that, he was airlifted to the University of Chicago, where doctors attempted to save his life.

Late on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, Aaron passed away from his wounds. Both a veteran and an organ donor, Aaron had done his part for his country. Since his donation helped so many people that day, the University of Chicago held a Hero’s Walk in his honor. He will live on in legend as a true champion and hero.
