Dominguinhos was a Brazilian composer, accordionist, and singer. He developed a unique style of popular music by combining elements from European, African, and Indian music with typical Brazilian music. He was deeply influenced by the music of Luiz Gonzaga, with who he also performed. He was the recipient of many awards, including the Latin Grammy in 2002.
