Dr. Sean P. Heffernan, M.D. is a psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of mood disorders and people with chronic medical illnesses. He treats adolescents older than age 16 and adults. He currently focuses on the treatment of college students, working at both Johns Hopkins University and St. John's College, Annapolis.
Beyond the training of a general adult psychiatrist, Dr. Heffernan has completed two fellowships for expert training in psychosomatic medicine and mood disorders, at Massachusetts General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital, respectively.
