Overview of Dr. Sobel
Dr. Sobel is a fellowship-trained head & neck surgical oncologist. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Head & Neck Cancer Program at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Sobel completed advanced fellowship training in head & neck surgical oncology at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He previously practiced at Head and Neck Surgery located at GBMC in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Sobel specializes in benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, including: thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary glands, tongue and oral cancers, HPV-related throat cancer, unknown primary malignancy, larynx, neck masses, and advanced skin cancers such as malignant melanoma.
Dr. Sobel is fellowship-trained in TransOral Robotic Surgery (TORS), sentinel lymph node biopsy, and other minimally-invasive surgical approaches in head and neck surgery. He is also a published author and frequent presenter on topics involving head and neck surgery and research.
