Dr. Rujuta Gandhi, MD – Hammond, IN

Rujuta Gandhi, M.D., has been practicing family medicine for more than 17 years. Dr. Gandhi is the medical director for Regional Health Systems’ federally qualified health center in northwest Indiana, and a faculty member of the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Gandhi is passionate about providing cost-effective, high-quality primary care to all patients regardless of their status or ability to pay. Her community involvement includes overseeing and coordinating Regional Health Systems mass vaccine site during the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a medical vivitrol protocol for opioid and alcohol treatment, developing a medical program for federal inmates at a local jail, and helping Regional Health Systems achieve The Joint Commission’s primary care medical home certification.

Dr. Gandhi holds a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Illinois.
