The guy who passed away following a three-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon has been identified by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
David Esser, 52, of the village of Dane, was named as the man.

According to the coroner’s office, he was declared dead at the site of the collision.
Esser died as a result of the injuries he incurred in the collision, according to preliminary forensic testing results.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the death and conducting more tests.
One driver who ran a stop sign and struck Esser’s car was detained by deputies. He is expected to be charged with homicide by careless operation of a motor vehicle, according to the authorities.
