Cheerleader, Macie Hill, age 8, killed during a fourth of July parade in Utah
According to a neighbor who posted on a fundraising website, Macie Hill of Layton passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the sad event at the parade in Kaysville, which is roughly 20 miles north of Salt Lake City.
According to Jennie Dopp, Macie was “full of life and displayed joy and love to everyone.”
Her father claimed that Macie adored her Patriot Cheer squad. Macie liked to cheer, and she died while doing what she loved—cheering for her team.
What specifically triggered the fatal accident, which resulted in the cancellation of the rest of the procession, was still unknown as of Tuesday.
According to KSTU-TV, the Patriot Cheer team was connected to the yellow Hummer that was involved in the collision.
In West Kaysville, Macie was a member of the Patriot Cheer All Stars cheerleading squad.
