We regret to inform you about Carl Lazevich’s demise. He was a former firefighter. On January 15, 2021, Carl passed away peacefully in the company of his devoted family. Age-wise, he was 67.
Childhood and Career
Parents from Croatia who had emigrated to New York City gave birth to Carl on February 12th, 1953. He came from a big family and had a good work ethic from a young age. Carl enlisted in the US Marine Corps after finishing high school and served for four years, including a tour of service in Vietnam.

Carl’s funeral was conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New York City on January 20, 2021. The funeral service started at 10 am, and a reception for family and friends followed
The family has asked that donations be made in Carl’s honor to the New York City Fire Department Foundation rather than flowers.
