At the age of 57, Billy Oatman passed away on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023. Since he started his professional sporting career at age 40, his amazing story serves as a reminder that dreams are worthwhile following at any age. During this trying time, we send our love and prayers to Billy’s family and friends.

The devastating news of my dear buddy Billy Oatman’s passing came to me today. Our connection began during our time as members of the Midwest Junior Bowlers Tour in high school. We afterwards carried on studying together from 1983 to 1985 at Vincennes University. Billy was a superb bowler, but what made him stand out was his constant smile, which he kept flashing despite the difficulties of life. I hold my friendship and its memories in the highest regard. Billy was a good person in addition to being a superb bowler. Peace be with you, dear friend. We will miss you a lot.
