WWE pay–per–views are headed to Saturdays. The company announced on Monday a slew of pay-per-view dates for 2022, with the company moving the majority of their events to Saturday night. Here is a look at the announced dates.
Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be a big two-day period for professional wrestling. WWE has announced that it will have a PPV taking place on either Saturday, Sept. 3 or Sunday, Sept. 4 at a location to be determined. AEW’s All Out PPV is also traditionally held during Labor Day weekend.

Aside from very few exceptions, the bulk of WWE PPVs have aired on Sundays. However, the company recently unveiled the PPV schedule of 2022 and surprisingly, most events are set to air on Saturdays. And while the company will release more information in the future, the Big Four PPVs are slated for Saturdays.
For starters, WWE is cutting back from their typical twelve pay-per-views a year down to nine. The other notable change is that seven of the nine will now be Saturday night events instead of the traditional Sunday slot.
The call to move PPV events to Saturday has been echoed for a long time by international fans as a Sunday night PPV usually encompasses the early hours of Monday. Appeasing international fans was most definitely a factor but in the last few years, the company has tested the waters in regards to a change in the airing day.
